Berlian sebesar telur ayam ditemukan di Pretoria, Afrika Selatan. Berlian yang termasuk ke jajaran 20 permata kualitas tinggi dunia ini memiliki berat lebih dari 100gr. John Dippenaar, sang chief executive perusahaan. mengatakan bahwa berlian 507.55 karat ini mempunyai warna dan kebeningan yang luar biasa.

Belum ada pernyataan mengenai berapa harga dari berlian tersebut. Pertambangan tempat berlian ini ditemukan sebelumnya juga memproduksi berlian terbesar yang pernah ditemukan, berlian Cullinan. Cullinan memiliki kandungan berlian 3.106 karat. Batu yang mereka kerjakan itu diletakkan sebagai perhiasan Crown Jewels di Tongkat Kerajaan Inggris.
