Raja sirkus Kanada, Guy Laliberte berangkat ke luar angkasa menggunakan roket milik Rusia dari Kazakhstan.  Guy Laliberte rela merogoh kocek sebesar $35 juta untuk merealisasikan mimpinya sebagai badut pertama di antariksa. Guy akan berada di luar bumi selama 9 hari bersama astronot Maxim Surayev dan Jeffery Williams.

Misinya adalah mempublikasi semakin menipisnya persediaan air bersih di bumi. Perjalanannya ini akan ditampilkan di konser - konser di 14 kota di 5 benua melalui satelit. Tercatat band rock U2, penyanyi seksi Shakira juga mantan wakil presiden Al Gore akan tampil di konser tersebut. Pebisnis sirkus yang lahir di Quebec ini memiliki kekayaan sebesar $2.5 miliar dollar dan memegang 95% saham di Cirque du Soleil.
