Susan Boyle Akhirnya Kalah di Final

Penyanyi yang menjadi idola baru Inggris, yang video penampilannya selalu disaksikan puluhan juta pengguna internet melalui situs video, tengah berada di rumah, setelah meraih tempat kedua pada ajang pencarian bakat Inggris, "Britain's Got Talent". Boyle dikalahkan oleh sebuah grup tari yang bernama Diversity, pada acara final, Sabtu (30/5).

Pada saat acara Final tersebut, Wanita berusia 48 tahun ini menyanyikan kembali lagu "I Dreamed a Dream" yang merupakan lagu tema Les Miserable. Beberapa hari menjelang final, lingkungan rumahnya di daerah Blackburn, Skotlandia mendadak ramai. Ratusan orang yang menyatakan dukungan mereka bagi Boyle dengan memasang spaduk dan atribut lain. Pemenang acara "Britain's Got Talent" menerima hadiah setara 160 ribu Dollar, dan kesempatan untuk tampil di depan Ratu Elizabeth II dalam acara yang diselenggarakan pihak Istana Kerajaan Inggris.
