Komunitas Mahasiswa Kedokteran Muslim di daerah California mendirikan UMMA, sebuah klinik kesehatan yang memberikan pelayanan gratis bagi warga miskin lintas agama. Mayoritas yang datang berobat adalah warga Amerika Latin dan berkulit hitam.
